Therapy is one hour a week.
Chiron is there for the other 167.

An AI companion your therapist configures for you: it knows what you're working on, it's there for you between sessions, and what matters reaches your therapist before your next session.

What Chiron actually is

Four things, and they work together

1

Someone to talk to, who knows you.

Chiron holds a picture of you that grows: what you're working on, your goals in therapy, and the challenges you have. These are written into your record, not left to an AI's memory.

2

Exercises that come to you.

There is good evidence that doing the exercises between sessions improves how therapy goes. Your therapist can assign you exercises, and Chiron brings them to you between sessions.

3

A chronicle you build, in the order you choose.

Chiron remembers what you say, summarizes it, and brings it to you as a chronicle before your next session. You can drag the items to reorder them by priority, so you talk about what matters to you.

4

A record your therapist reads.

All of your interactions with Chiron go to your therapist: every conversation, every exercise, your mood scores, and your chronicle in the order you set. By the time your session starts, the agenda is clear to both of you.

Between sessions

It's there between sessions, and it already knows you

Life happens between therapy sessions, and a whole week can go to ruminating on it.

Your next session is days away.

You open Chiron and you don't explain who you are. Your therapist has already configured Chiron, so it knows your challenges, your goals, the kind of therapy you're doing, and the people in your life. It also remembers what you've told it in earlier conversations.

What to bring into your session

You decide what the hour is about

The thing you most need to talk about in therapy usually occurs to you days before. So Chiron keeps it: your own sentences, the things it noticed, anything you add yourself, and anything your therapist wants to cover. All of it lands on one list.

You drag them into the order you want. Whatever you put first is what your session opens with, and your therapist sees the list in your order, in your words, before you walk in. Nothing is sent until you are ready, and once it is sent it is frozen, so you can see exactly what she got.

You are setting the agenda, and the hour starts where you say it starts.

A blank worksheet that asks you to write down your worries between sessions is often unhelpful, and it frequently doesn't get done. With Chiron, the exercise comes to you inside the conversation, at the moment it applies, which makes it far easier to finish while the thing is actually happening.

Your therapist chooses which exercises you get, from the CBT and DBT work you are already doing together. If she assigns opposite action, that is what you get that night, not the first thing a search engine suggests.

Nothing disappears

Everything you have ever said to it is still there

Every conversation is kept and searchable, months back, grouped by when it happened. So is every exercise you have ever filled in.

This matters more than it sounds. Six weeks from now, when the same thing happens again, you and Chiron can go back and look at what you wrote the first time, what you thought was true then, and what actually turned out to be true. That is the whole method of the therapy you are already doing, and it is the one thing no chat app that forgets you can ever offer.

What it asks you every week

A few questions each week, and what they're for

Chiron asks you a short set of questions on a rhythm your therapist sets: how you have been sleeping, how much the worry has been getting in the way, how the week actually went. Some weeks it is two standard questionnaires that clinicians have used for decades, the PHQ-9 and the GAD-7.

They take about two minutes. What they give you is more than a dot on a chart. Day to day you might not be able to tell whether you're getting better; week to week you can see a trend, and month to month a real trajectory. That way both you and your therapist can see whether what the two of you are doing is working, or whether something needs to change.

You see the same chart she does.

Before your session

The morning of your session, you both start in the same place

Before every session Chiron gives you a page of your own week: what happened, what the two of you kept coming back to, the exercises you finished, and where your mood actually went.

It is not a test and you do not have to prepare anything. It is there so that you walk in knowing what you want to say, and so that the first twenty minutes of a fifty-minute hour are not spent rebuilding a week that has already faded.

At the top of it is a single sentence summing up your week, made only from your own numbers and your own words. Your therapist reads the same sentence, word for word. Nothing is written about you that you cannot read yourself.

Your therapist gets all of it: every conversation summarized, every exercise as you filled it in, how often you opened Chiron, your mood day by day, and your scores tracked across months. If something matters, she opens the conversation and reads it.

This is the reason it works.

Between sessions, your therapist only knows what you can reconstruct on the morning of your session. With Chiron she isn't guessing. She sees the night you would have forgotten, the thing you couldn't have said out loud, and the exercise you did in the moment instead of filling in from memory. She can keep an eye on your progress from a distance and step in when something needs her.

If something is genuinely urgent, she hears about it right away rather than at your next session.

And when Chiron thinks it has noticed something about you, that does not simply become part of your record. It goes to your therapist as a suggestion, and it only counts once she has read it and agreed. A piece of software does not get to decide things about you on its own.

What Chiron will not do

What Chiron will not do

It will never sell your conversations, or hand them to anyone.

They are covered by the same HIPAA-grade protections as the rest of your care.

It will not forget you between sessions.

Every other AI you have tried starts from nothing every time. This one doesn't.

It will not point you at something unsafe or clinically unsound.

It works from the plan your therapist wrote rather than improvising one, and every exchange is checked by a separate safety system.

It will not simply agree with you.

Other AI products are built to keep you happy in the moment. This one is built to be useful, and your therapist sets how firm it is.

And one more: Chiron is built specifically to minimize hallucinations. It works from what your therapist wrote about you and what you have actually said, not from whatever sounds plausible. No AI can promise never. Most don't even try. Chiron gets pretty close.

Questions people ask

Questions people ask

Does Chiron replace my therapist?

No. And the reason you would want it is that it doesn't. An AI with no clinician behind it will tell you whatever keeps you talking. This one works from your therapist's plan and reports back to her.

How does Chiron help me?

In more ways than fit here, but they fall into two categories. First, Chiron extends your therapy beyond the hour: you can work on what comes up during the week, when it comes up, with Chiron there to help. Second, because Chiron keeps a record of all of it, your sessions get substantially more productive. It turns the hour from triage into therapy.

Do I pay for this?

Not directly. Chiron is something your therapist provides as part of your care, so whether there is any cost to you is a question for her.

Is Chiron a real person?

No, and it will never pretend to be one.

What if I don't use it much?

That's fine. It isn't a streak and nobody is grading you. It's there for the weeks you need it.

How do I stop?

Tell your therapist and she turns it off. That's the whole process.

What if things get bad?

Chiron doesn't try to handle a crisis on its own. It surfaces real help, and it tells your therapist immediately rather than waiting for your next session.

Ask your therapist about Chiron.

There's nothing to sign up for here. If your therapist sent you this page, tell her you want it and she'll set it up.

One hour a week is not very much. Chiron is there for the other 167.
